Burlington & Missouri River Railroad Nebraska Steel Adlake Switch Key
Here is a hard to find steel railroad switch key from the Burlington & Missouri River Railroad out of Nebraska. It is stamped on the front "B&MR RR Neb". On the other side it is stamped "D1481, S", with the Adams & Westlake Co. logo "A&W Co., Chicago" in the oval pattern. It is 2" long, and the hilt is 15/16" wide. The Burlington & Missouri River Railroad was incorporated in Iowa in 1852, with headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, a continuation of the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad. This hard to find key shows nice even wear, and has great patina....sure to brighten up any collection!
