Circa: 1889-1890 "Parry Buggies" Oak Octagon New Haven Regulator Clock
A really rare advertising clock in all original condition. This golden oak octagon regulator clock was manufactured by the New Haven Clock Company of New Haven, Connecticut for the Parry Manufacturing Company of Indianapolis, Ind. The top section is octagon, with a pressed design around the edge. The drop section has a pressed design also around the pendulum door. The pendulum door has the original gold reverse advertising "Largest MFRS. of Buggies in the World," with a four seat covered buggy below. This slogan was used by the Parry Company from 1889 to 1890. The bezel and glass are in excellent original condition. The face of the clock has some minor chipping around the two key clock winding holes, and one small splash mark by the roman numeral three, where a drop of liquid splashed. These marks just add to the originality of this lovely clock. The works , key, and pendulum are also original. The stamped star New Haven Trademark appears on the lower right corner of the works. The clock runs well, and chimes on the hour and half hour. Dimensions of this clock are; 26 1/2" long by 17 1/4" wide by 4 1/2" deep. A very unique and fine addition to add to your collection!
