1868 Atterbury Chapman Kerosene Lamp w/Milk Glass Gem Base
Straight out of the pages of Katherine Thoro's Kerosene Lamp II book, this very attractive Atterbury lamp is a real looker! The fount is the "Chapman" pattern, with cemented on brass collar, brass center ring, and "gem" pattern milk glass foot. The lamp is in excellent condition, no chips or cracks, with very slight edge roughness in two spots on the base. It is marked "Pat. Sept. 29, 1868." The burner is a #1 Queen Anne, and the 9 5/8" tall chimney is a newer replacement. The lamp is 9 5/8" tall to the top of the brass collar, and it is 3 /4" square at the base. The overall height is 19 1/4" tall. This beautiful lamp is looking for a new home!
