Blue Zipper Loop Pattern Glass Kerosene Lamp w/ Milk Glass Base & Shade
We're always looking for attractive colored kerosene lamps, and we were happy to find this very lovely early 20th century blue kerosene table lamp. It is in the "zipper loop" pattern. The lamp is shown in other colors on page 120 of "Oil Lamps II, Glass Kerosene Lamps," by Catherine M.V. Thuro. The lamp fount is a beautiful medium blue, and the base is milk glass. The brass burner is original to the lamp and is marked "AB Co. 2" on the wick adjuster. Three shade arms support the ribbed milk glass shade. The shade fits well. If it is a replacement, it is an old and exact one. The glass of all parts is in perfect condition, no chips, cracks or flea bites. Dimensions of the lamp are: 14 1/4" tall to the top of the shade, 17" tall with the chimney. The milk glass shade is 8 1/4" in diameter and 5 3/8" tall. The chimney is a replacement. An elegant lamp ready to proudly display!
