Early 1920's Havoline Oil Tin Sign
A very early advertising sign. This sign may be pre-red dot logo period, which was 1915-25.The sign is very thin tin with raised lettering. The letters are cream, on a navy blue field, and say "Havoline Oil, It makes a difference." The sign is one-sided. It was manufactured by St. Louis Tin & S.M.W.Co. The paint has flaked in spots, mostly on the navy blue back ground. There is a hole in the top center of the sign where it was hung. The corners have slight edge bends. The sign is in over all fair to good condition. It is 9 1/4" wide, and 19 1/2" long. An unusual collectible for a serious collector of advertising!
