Circa 1910 Hand Embroidered White Gauze Dress
This elegant white gauze dress would make a spectacular wedding dress! It is in pristine condition, no rips, repairs or rotted spots. Heavy white embroidery in a daisy and fern border pattern covers the dress. There are two bands around the skirt, one down the left front of the dress where it ends in a ruffled fold, in V's at the front and back of the bodice, and on the sleeves. The back closures continue the V pattern. There are fifteen hooks and eyes closing the back of the dress. The underarms of the dress are perfect, no stains. There is one tiny V shaped mark at the lower hem on the right side of the dress which can hardly be seen, and probably was made with an overly hot old iron. The measurements of the dress are; 40" waist to floor length, 13 ½" back neckline to waist, 23"waist, 15" shoulder to shoulder at the back, and 12" elbow length sleeves. This is a very special dress... ready for your special occasion!
