Pre-1908 D&RG & RGWRy, Rio Grande Sugar Bowl

(Item: 1747)

Sorry, This Item Is SOLD!!!

Pre-1908 D&RGRR & RGWRy Rio Grande 14 oz. Silverplate Sugar Bowl

This pre-1908 sugar bowl was made for the Denver & Rio Grande & Rio Grande Western, Rio Grande Railroad Dining Car Service. Since both railroads used the name "Rio Grande", they marked their pieces this way to avoid changing out china & silverware in Grand Junction, Colorado. It is marked on the bottom "Reed & Barton, No. #1354, 14 oz., silver soldered". it has a nicely embossed band of floral decoration at midpoint of sugar bowl. It has a very nice patina that will clean up nicely if polished. This silverplate sugar bowl is in excellent condition...one you can proudly display. A very desirable and decorative Colorado railroad item!
