1910 Mechanical Plug Tobacco Cutter
This is a unique little general store mechanical plug tobacco cutter, patented March 8th, 1910. It appears to be pressed steel, with four small legs. The dimensions are 4 1/4" wide, 8 1/4" long (including handle), and 7 ½" tall. As the handle rotates, it moves the tobacco plug forward slightly, and cuts a thin slice of tobacco. The four legs have holes in the feet to anchor it to a counter. It is complete and in excellent working condition. This is a fine piece for a tobacciana collection, or for the general store enthusiast!
