Denver & Rio Grande Railroad Curecanti Coffee Cup
Here is a very collectible dining car piece from the hey day of the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad. This pattern was produced by Syracuse China for the D&RG from 1908 to 1922 when they changed the name to D&RGW. It is not bottom stamped. It has orange, black and orange pin stripes with the black Curecanti logo. The coffee cup is in very good condition and the pin stripes and logo are very sharp with no fading or wear. The bottom and top rims of the cup show normal wear for its age, no chips. There is one small hairline crack near the base of the handle (please see picture). Overall, a very nice and hard to find piece. Dimensions of the cup are: 2 3/8" tall, and 4 1/8" in diameter. If you happen to have a saucer, it will make a nice complete set from the D&RG Railroad.
