1870’s Walnut “Lincoln” Rocker
A recent estate acquisition from Ouray, Colorado. This lovely and comfortable rocking chair gets its nickname from the fact that President Lincoln preferred this particular style at the White House. This rocking chair has floral pattern brocade upholstery, in very good condition. The walnut frame has been cleaned up, and the joints checked. There are two very old fill spots on the top and bottom of the back right side of the frame. These are not noticeable, but must be mentioned for accuracy. The rocking chair has a grape cluster design carved crest. The “Lincoln rocker” is 41” tall, 24 ½” wide, and the runners are 39” long. This rocking chair is room-ready and rocking-ready!
