D&RGW Adlake-Kero #250 Lantern w/Amber Etched Corning Globe
This very desirable lantern will be the star of any Denver & Rio Grande collection! This Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad lantern has lots of original tin and good metal....very nice & straight! The frame has been cleaned of oil and dirt, and still shows nice patina on the top lid. The lanterns top lid is embossed "D&RGW, Adlake No. 250 Kero, The Adams & Westlake Co., Chicago-Elkhart-New York". The frame measures 9 ¼” tall without the bail. It comes with an Adlake #400 burner and fount that is in very good condition and will hold oil. The 3 ¼” tall short amber globe is in near mint condition and is etched "D&RGWRR" and "Safety First". The “Safety First” etching is slightly doubled on some of the letters (please see picture). It is strongly embossed with the Corning logo “Cnx” and "Adlake-Kero, Made In U.S.A.". There is only one very minor outside flea bite on the top rim. This is very small, but must be mentioned for accuracy. You can proudly display this Colorado railroad collectible in any room of your home!
